American Bakers May Open in Somerville's Davis Square

It looks like a new bakery could be on its way to one of the busiest parts of Somerville, though plans for the place seem to be in the very early stages.

The Davis Square LiveJournal blog is reporting that American Bakers is planning to open on College Avenue, moving into the space where Artifaktori had been. A page on the City of Somerville website mentions that the bakery would have 18 seats with 600 square feet of space (plus another 600 square feet for a working area and basement storage), though little other information on American Bakers is available at this point in time, so keep checking back for updates.
